Balsa Plank

Balsa wood two-by-fours (actual dimension is 1.5" x 3.5") are great for building lightweight breakaway props, like tables and chairs.

Balsa 2x4s are terrific for making table and chair legs that will snap under very little pressure.

Balsa is lightweight, soft, and fragile, so it's very easy to carve.
