If you’re going to create fog or haze on Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) property—they’re enforcing their health and safety policy.
Before you buy any fog or haze fluids you should check their Safety Data Sheets. The SDS for your materials must state “This product does NOT contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects, or other reproductive harm.”
What’s more, you will be asked to present the SDS for all fog and haze fluid for review by an employee of the LAUSD. So, it’s a very good idea to have copies to give the LAUSD representative on set.
The following fog and haze products meet the requirements of the LAUSD and they can be purchased from Roger George Special Effects:
- Look Quick Fog Fluid
- Look Regular Fog Fluid
- Look Slow Fog Fluid
- Look Tiny Fog Fluid
- Look Unique Haze Fluid
- LeMaitre Extra Quick Dissipating Fluid
- LeMaitre Quick Dissipating Fog Fluid
- LeMaitre Long Lasting Fog Fluid
- LeMaitre Molecular Fog Fluid
Each product page has a link to a downloadable SDS. Do yourself a favor, print out, and bring copies with you to the set.
If a fog or haze fluid you’re considering using has chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm you will NOT be allowed to use them on LAUSD property.
