Gypsnow is a powdered gypsum plaster that rapidly expands with the addition of water. Gypsnow molds to any shape, may also be carved, cut or shaped. 50 lb Bag Coverage: The following quantities of Gypsnow and water will expand to just over the top of a 5 gallon pail: 14 1/4 pounds Gypsnow + 1.4 gallons water Mixing: Due to the rapid expansion of Gypsnow, the maximum recommended mix for any one pour is 5-gallons. Add the required water to a 5-gallon pail. As soon as the Gypsnow powder is added mix immediately for 3 to 5 seconds with a low speed paddle type mixing blade. Pour as quickly as possible into the mold. Drying / Curing: Gypsnow must stay in the mold for 45 minutes to an hour before the product may be removed. Cutting, carving and painting may take place when the product is removed from the mold properly dried. Storage: Gypsnow should be kept indoors or if stored outdoors, it should be adequately covered to keep dry and be stored off the ground.
